2013 Target Updates:
Reuben Foster: Foster claims that he will play football 3 hours away from his family. That eliminates Washington and LSU…..and that also eliminates Auburn since he lives right next to them. So who does that leave? That leaves Alabama and Georgia as to where he will play college football. He will official visit in Athens next weekend (25th) and is expected to make a decision on NSD or after NSD. Georgia could make a huge impact on Foster next weekend as his best friend Tray Matthews will host him on his visit.
Matthew Thomas: Thomas was scheduled to visit Miami this weekend, FSU next weekend, and UGA his final weekend before making a decision on a team. He has already visited Alabama this past weekend. Thomas had a change of plans and has chosen to visit USC this coming weekend. What does that change? Does that eliminate Miami? Thomas was considered a Miami lock at one time with him living in Miami, but things have changed with the sanctions in the Hurrican program. Thomas was then considered a FSU lean before Stoops left to take the head coaching position at Kentucky. Now Thomas is strongly considering Bama and UGA. UGA could make a huge move for Thomas the weekend before signing day. Why does Thomas like UGA? He loves the way Grantham used Jarvis Jones in his defense and feels he can be utilized the same way. UGA could make a major upset if they land Thomas.
Alvin Kamara: News broke that UGA runningback Ken Malcome had decided to transfer and Kamara was the first one to know about it from UGA staff. Kamara is down to UGA and Alabama is is expected to make a decision on NSD. While UGA was making a serious push last night, Alabama coaches Nick Saban and Kirby Smart decided to go to Kamara’s house for an in-home visit. Kamara will visit Bama this weekend and UGA next weekend. Jan 25th could be the biggest recruiting day of the year for the Dawgs as they will host most of their remaining 2013 targets.
