It seemed as if UGA came into this recruiting weekend trailing for at least 3 out of the 4 prospects that were coming to Athens. Is that still the case on Sunday morning? I am not so sure of that. The Bulldogs coaching staff had to make all the right calls over the weekend, and up to this point they have done that and more. Here are the updates we have on each player heading into their final day in Athens today.
Reuben Foster spent this morning touring daycare’s for his little girl with his mother. This afternoon he met with Coach O and also was able to tour his mom around campus. His mom absolutely loves it……..and said multiple times throughout the day that this was the best visit she had been to with Reuben. Foster is then hung out with Matthews, Shaq Wiggins, and a couple more EE’s at UGA before heading to Sanford Stadium for a dinner. Reuben will meet with both Grantham and Richt this morning before returning back to Auburn, AL. Richt and staff was able to spend a lot of time with Foster’s mother yesterday and she expressed how much she loved Athens and how much she would love for her son to be apart of the Bulldog Family. Foster was in a picture with the three other targets in Sanford Stadium in his #2 Georgia Bulldog Jersey. UGA now leads to land Foster and could see him committed before NSD to the Bulldogs.
Montravius Adams spent a LONG time with Coach Wilson. His mother had the opportunity to get to know Coach Wilson also and Montravius moms feelings have not changed. She feels UGA is the place for her son because of the family and laid back atmosphere that Mark Richt provides in Athens. Montravius will also met with Grantham and Richt this morning. The Bulldogs have now taken the lead for Montravius and we are hearing that Adams told the Bulldogs staff that he intends on signing with the Bulldogs on NSD. Adam’s mother, family, and recruiting adviser feel comfortable with Adams in Athens and that is where Adam’s feels he belongs for the next 3-4 years. It also helps that UGA puts players in the NFL better than any other team in College Football.
Alvin Kamara: Kamara spent the morning with Coach Ball and Coach McClendon eating breakfast then was taken to Sanford Stadium with Coach Bobo. Bobo had a video prepared to play on the big Jumbo Board for Kamara of how he will be used in Athens. Alvin was seen in a picture wearing his #6 UGA jersey in Sanford Stadium. Kamara then played spades at Coach Bobo’s house with a couple UGA coaches and Kamara high school coach. Kamara was seen in a Twitter picture downtown Athens with Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall last night. Kamara will meet with Richt and Bobo this morning and UGA has rebounded nicely after Kamara’s visit with Alabama. It would not surprise me one bit to see Kamara come to UGA now, and he was the one I was worried about most coming in. If NSD was today, Alvin Kamara would be a Bulldog.
Davin Bellamy: Davin spent some time with Coach WIlson this morning also. UGA could very well leave today as the leader for Bellamy even though he is committed to Florida State. Bellamy has always wanted to be a Georgia Bulldog and now UGA is finally showing Bellamy the love that he has always wanted. Grantham told him yesterday he was one of the best OLB in the country and he wants Bellamy in Athens. Bellamy has loved the atmosphere in Athens up to this point. He has expressed per Twitter that UGA has showed him tons of love, more than any other. He has spent time with many UGA Football players and has been seen downtown having loads the past two nights. Bellamy is expected to meet with Grantham and Richt this morning before heading back home. It would not surprise me for Bellamy to announce the Georgia Bulldogs on NSD.
The Bulldogs came in trailing for 3 out of 4, I feel they come away leading for 4 out of 4. These 4 players got the royal treatment this weekend (especially Kamara) and we feel UGA did enough to win these players over.
