National Signing Day is officially upon us. Kids will announce and send in their letter of intents and the fax machines will be cranked up early in the morning. UGA currently has 30 commits and could add a couple of more before mid afternoon. The Mark Richt press conference will be at 2pm at the Butts-Mehre building. He will be accompanied by defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo. Richt was released from the hospital yesterday following hip surgery that was performed on Saturday morning.
Reuben Foster- He committed to the University of Alabama on Monday Night.
Alvin Kamara- Looks as if he is favoring Alabama at this point, but the Alex Collins announcement to Arkansas could get interesting concering Alabama running backs. Henry is already enrolled, Tenpenny and Tyren Jones are already committed, and Alvin Kamara could be the 4th rb taken for the Tide. They have 4-5 scholarship running backs returning.
Tyren Jones- UGA staff has called Jones and told him if he wants to accept UGA’s scholarship offer, it is still on the table. With three RBs committed to Bama, and Kamara still yet to announce, it has been rumored that Tyren Jones would be asked to grey-shirt. Bama is nearing the max they can take in the class and with Jones having jaw surgery on Monday, he would figure to be the odd man out as RB at Bama. We will monitor this process throughout the day today and tomorrow morning.
Davin Bellamy- Strongly favoring UGA over Oregon and Tennessee as of this morning.
Montravius Adams- Looks to be a UGA, Clemson, Auburn race, but it looks like the Tigers have pulled out front for Adams. He is very good friends with Lawson and that could be a big factor come NSD tomorrow. There is still a chance Adams chooses the Dawgs because of his moms love for UGA and Mark Richt.
Laremy Tunsil- It looks like his process is over and he will be headed to Ole Miss.
George Adeoson- He is strongly considering the University of Georgia and it would be a surprise if he chose Oklahoma or Arizona State over UGA tomorrow. He hasn’t taken an official visit to UGA, although he has been on campus a few times. Adeoson is a hot commodity right now and if UGA could pull the upset on NSD for him it would take a little bit of the bitter out of the Laremy Tunsil situation. Adeosun has been bumped to a 4-star by 247 recently and is a very good offensive tackle.
Come join us right here, right now, all day as we talk UGA Football and recruiting. Share your predictions, and chat with other passionate dawg fans as we are one day away from NSD.
Go Dawgs
