 Bama is not only strengthing their roster by overloading, but they are hurting all their competitors by denying them the talent they need to bridge gap

 Axlrodes UGA already has 4 DEs and 2 DLs.  Add into this one of the Top Jucos, John Atkins, the #52 DT and #53 DE in the country as well as another highly rated JUCO, Chris Mayes and its a decent class with good depth. Add into that the #5, #9, #11 and #38 MLBs in the country and one of the highest rated JUCOs in the country at OLB and I think the D is covered.  Especially with the dozen or so LBs already at UGA.

They had 7 and signed 3 more so that will be 10 total RBs on the roster.  And only 2 or 3 will get playing time.

@DostaDawg77 I don't get what these recruits where thinking? I mean what kind of mess is the Bama coaches feeding them?

 DostaDawg77 Should make it easier for 2104 RB situation, which is where we need to address the RB anyway.  We got Turman and Douglas so we are fine.

32 players now, every position helped, 14 four star players.

The O-line..#5 center in the country, #11 guard in the country, #15 TE in the country, and the #31 and #65 OTs in the country.  And these players will sit for a year with the depth already on the line.

1 Center, 6 OGs and, 7 OTs and 4 generic OL at UGA already.  Thats 18 offensive Linemen at UGA already.  None are Seniors.  How many more does UGA need?  Add to that 10 TEs, no Seniors.

 you can't use numbers.  for every 4-5 OL recruited, maybe 2 will be consistent contributors.  you just mentioned the current roster numbers, but we were deathly thin at OL this past season.  we should be taking 5-6 every class and hope to get 2-3 who will contribute

The NC is the ultimate prize but that is not why 5 star recruits from Ga go someplace else. 

According to Scout there are three 5 star recruits from Ga. 

The first Nkendiche went to play with his brother, that one was easy to see, especially since Mom said she wanted them together.

Vonn Bell was never in it for UGA and went to Ohio State, in my opinion the crap that has been going on there for over a decade is still happening.

Montravius Adams is a surprise but all Auburn had to do was guarantee he would be on the field starting next year and he was sold.  At UGA he would probably red shirt and then have to compete for a spot.

Rivals adds the following 5 star players:

Lawson -  back to Auburn giving immediate playing time.

Scout also had 25 four star players from the state of Ga;

9 are at UGA.

2 are QBs - no room at UGA

For DE's - Lawson went to Ole Miss but it was a business deal involving his sister and GF.  But Bellamy signed with UGA and 1 other went to Oky State.

UGA got the only two 4 star MLBs and another from out of state

UGA got the only 4 star safety

UGA got the only 4 star OG

UGA got a 4 star RB out of Fl but whiffed on the instate guys, my guess...because of Gurshall and then Turmans commit.  Kamara made it clear from the start, in all his interviews, he didn;t want to go where he could be on the bench.

Not getting the two 4 star DTs is tough but you have Atkins coming out of Hargave and face it, there is only one DT at UGA and thats the nose of the D.

There is one 4 star WR in Ga and he went to UF but UGA got two 4 star WRs from out of state.  Not a loss there.

Didn't get the OTs in state but one went to GT (stayed in state) and the other to Vandy, great schools both.  The last was a JUCO to UF.

UGA got the only two 4 star CBS and picked up a third from Fl

UGA missed the only OLB, another OSU defect. But picked up a 4 star from VA.

So I can only see 1 possible position where UGA didn't fill  this year, OT .  UGA will be good at there until next year.

I think this class is great, kept a lot of in state guys and filled needs and depth issues.  Screw the guys that opted to go elsewhere.

@Axlrodes he liked Auburn from the start they were his leader untill they fired Chizik but he said in an interview after he signed that it really hurt Georgia that Garner went to AU so if Garner was a bad recruiter he made this kid believe Auburn was the place to be

@gthomason Seriously? I don't think he picks Georgia anyway....too many chances already rejected. But he is one lost puppy, that's for sure.

 i think any waivering would be to go back to Auburn.  i'm not convinced we were ever a legitimate possibility for him

@Axlrodes @South FL Dawg I dont think he goes to UGA but of their class he is one of the few that havent signed yet, I have heard it came down to us and Alabama he seemed confused during his announcement too but he will sign with Alabama so will Kamara

@gthomason Would be nice but UVA is a good school and I wouldn't blame him for going there. Much better choice than Ole Miss if it turns out he doesn't make it in the NFL. But they all think they will......

how we went from UGA/Clemson battle to Auburn lean is beyond me.  i talked to my clemson buddy and they have written him off at this point.

Clemson might have a day as bad as ours.
