Bulldog Seniors Improving Draft Stock at Senior Bowl

Tavarres King had an outstanding season for the Georgia Bulldogs just missing the 1,000 yard mark on the season. He was figured to be a late round draft pick going into the 2013 NFL Draft, but he has done everything possible to improve that stock. He has been one of the more dominating receivers in Mobile, AL and looks to show his talents on National TV on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm on the NFL Network.

King is not the only Bulldogs turning heads in practices, teammates John Jenkins, Cornelius Washington, Bacarri Rambo, Shawn Williams and Sanders Commings are also performing at a high level. Jenkins has been unblockable from his defensive tackle position throughout practices and he has been projected as a 1st round draft choice throughout the 2012 season.

None of the Bulldogs have performed as well as Cornelius Washington though. Washington has increased his draft stock tremendously with his ability to rush the passer from his defensive end position. What was the main problem at Georgia…..he was playing in a defense that did not meet his strengths. He is a 4-3 defensive end that never adapted to a 3-4 defense. He was not big enough to play as a 3-4 defensive end, and he never adapted to being a 3-4 outside linebacker. He will thrive in the NFL as a 4-3 end for whatever team chooses him.

According to WalterFootball.com mock draft, the Bulldogs could have a big showing on draft day. Here are the projections below.

1ST ROUND

7) Jarvis Jones to the Arizona Cardinals
20) Alec Ogletree to the Chicago Bears
24) John Jenkins to the Indianapolis Colts

3rd ROUND

78) Bacarri Rambo to the St. Louis Rams
94) Shawn Williams to the San Francisco 49ers

Cornelius Washington, Tavarres King and Sanders Commings could jump up into the 4th or 5th round on draft day.

Saw king on his second one on one with brad lester and he killed him on a fake to the outside and cut back in. Closest thing to it was watching Tim hardaway doing his cross over or Chris Paul. It was sick
