Reuben Foster first committed to Alabama on July 18th, 2011 over the University of Georgia. He decommitted from the Tide a year later and committed to the University of Auburn on July 12th, 2012. He had already decided to move to Auburn High School, where Trooper Taylor’s son attended school. He had a good, not great, senior year and was dropped from a 5-star to a 4-star by some recruiting services. When he showed out in the Under Armour Showcase game, he gained that 5th star back.
When he committed to Auburn, he assumed his recruiting process was over. He got an Auburn tattoo that covered the length of his forearm. Shortly after the 2012 season, Gene Chizik was fired and Gus Malzahn was hired to take over the Auburn program. The whole staff was let go, even Trooper Taylor, and that sent Foster re-evaluating. He decided to decommit from Auburn on December 7th, 2012 and he began visiting schools once again. He took an official visit to Washington, then Washington, the next weekend UGA, then a midweek trip to San Diego State, and an official to Auburn this past weekend where he ended up in Tuscaloosa before it was over.
Last night Reuben was set to announce again on live tv on FSS. The fear, confusion, and uncertainty showed in his eyes during his whole announcement. At the end, he chose the Crimson Tide. He was asked, when did you make the decision. Reuben said “One the way over here man, just confused”.
So is it over? Has the drama finally come to an end for Reuben…..or will he have a change of heart over the next two days….

Foster has played the system for 2 years. Tomorrow all the drama will be over and his fame will disappear. He moved from Ga to Auburn in order to get the credits required to graduate. Had he stayed in Ga he would not have graduated.
